Hillary Shockley Obituary
2nd Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Morgan was a beautiful soul who will be dearly missed by so many. She spent her life showing love to those around her.
Hillary Morgan Shockley, a resident of Easleyville, LA, left this life on March 28, 2023. She was born October 17, 1991 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. Morgan was 31 years of age. She is survived by her beautiful daughter, Austyn Elizabeth Shockley; parents, Don and Angela Lee Shockley; sister, Hannah Wilkinson and husband, Jacob; niece and nephews, Brooks Wilkinson, Rivers Wilkinson, and Collins Wilkinson; maternal grandparents, George Eddie and Alice Faye Lee; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William Edward and Helen Burnthorne Shockley; cousin, Douglas Shockley. We extend much gratitude to the Recovery Community for their significant role they played in Mo’s life.
Visitation at First Baptist Church of Kentwood, LA from 9:00am until religious services at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Services conducted by Pastors Darryl Miller and Mervin Strother. Interment Wales Cemetery, Greensburg, LA. Pallbearers will be Jake Bourgeois, Collin Lee, Dillon Lee, Drew Piner, Matthew Shockley, and Scott Puls. Morgan was the light!! I met Morgan at the Grove in December 2022. She was my roommate. Her and I got close really fast, it's like I knew her my whole life. She was strong and fought hard to get through what she was doing there. God spoke to me about Morgan! Everytime I saw her she had this glow around her. She is my long lost little sister I finally found at the Grove.. I will never forget you and I will love you forever!!! I miss you so terribly much sis!!!

Growing up with Morgan, I danced and she cheered. We were together every Friday night during football season throughout high school. We grew up together at FBC Kentwood, and I am so grateful to have known her. Mrs. Angela and family, please know myself and my family are here for you all. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I just found out the news my heart is broken. I met Morgan when she started working in Summit Mississippi, we became friends straight away. I could tell from day one. She had a good heart I could always get her to laugh, and that filled me with joy,. I’m so so sorry for her family, but know this she was loved by many.
