Hillary Lee Underwood

Hillary L. Underwood, Evangelist, 73 of Tollesboro died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Fleming County Hospital. He was born in Garrison, Kentucky on June 30, 1940 the son of the late Edgar and Edna Fannin Underwood. Mr. Underwood was a well -known evangelist in the surrounding county areas and recently celebrated 50 years in ministry and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lelia Eloise Underwood and two brothers William and Paul Underwood.
Mr. Underwood is survived by his wife, Susan Amburgey Underwood; Sons, Dwain Underwood of Ogunquit, Maine, Paul Underwood of Ashland, KY and David Underwood of Tollesboro, KY; Daughter, Lesa Underwood Bowley of Newburgh, Indiana, Lori Underwood Zimmerman of King, North Carolina; Grandchildren, Rachel Bowley Zubek, Tyler Bowley, Kelsey Underwood, Katilin Underwood, Olivia Zimmerman, Emma Zimmerman; Great Grandchildren, Rylie, Cohen, Emery Zuber.
Funeral services for Mr. Underwood will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ at 11 AM with Bro. Vernon Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be Bill Beckett, Tom Caskey, Travis Roberts, Kevin Watson, Martin Dillon, James Pollitt, Rob Corns and Mike Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Underwood, Joshua Underwood, David P. Spears, Cody Spears, Tim Underwood, Tony Underwood, Trent Underwood, Kevin Underwood, Keith Underwood, Trevin Plank, Gary Joe Underwood, Terry Underwood, Tom Underwood, Mark Madden and Roger Williams. Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the church. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, Wallingford, KY 41093.
