Holly A. Fregin

Holly A. (Young) Fregin, 69, of Manchester, CT, passed away suddenly on June 19th, 2023, doing what she loved, riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Holly was born on December 17th, 1953, in Hartford, CT, to Gaby (Moxter) Young and Robert Young, both of whom preceded her in death.

Holly graduated from East Hartford High School in 1971 and went on to have a long and successful career in the secretarial / administrative field. She retired from CEUI Local 511 / MEUI 506 in 2019, and was proud of her 12 years of service there. She spent many an afternoon during her retirement with her grand-dogs whom she loved dearly, along with traveling the country.

For all who knew Holly, a great void is left behind, as she brought a true shining light into this world wherever she went. It didn't matter if you knew her for five minutes or five years, she treated everyone with great respect and showed a genuine interest in learning everything she could about them. She would often remember the tiniest of details and surprise you later with a gift. She wanted to let everyone know they were always in her thoughts.

Her passions included riding her motorcycle, creating personalized beaded bookmarks, hiking, spending time with those she loved and having a martini (or two!). The spirit and essence of Holly cannot be wholly captured in words, in this limited space, as she was truly larger than life.

We can all take solace in the fact that she is now reunited with her beloved Dave, who predeceased her a few years ago.

She is leaves behind her son, Chris Godfrey and daughter-in-law, Chrissy Godfrey, and her grand-dogs Lana, Storm and Bud, of Manchester, CT, her sister Robin and brother in-law Bill, of North Grosvenordale, CT, her sister Lyn and brother-in-law Ray of Manistee, MI, several cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. Holly also leaves behind countless friends, who loved her dearly, and will be devoted to keeping her memory alive and honoring the life she lived.
