Hope Lange was so moving in her portrayal of Selena Cross in Peyton Place she deserved the Oscar but was nominated. Her natural beauty and poise and the quality of being so natural on screen made her own the screen in whatever role she played. She was s one of a kind.

Prayers and condolences for the family. I only got to know of her now, quite a few years after she died. She had a gentleness that must have been real. God rest her soul and bless her family.
