Horace Wheeler Obituary
Horace graduated from Mount View High School and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a career Staff Sergeant with the National Guard. He retired for a second time as a shop assistant with Whited Ford. Horace was a member of the American Legion Post No. 107, Carmel.
He is survived by daughter, Dulcie and husband, Roscoe Noble, of Carmel; three sisters, Bertha and husband, Wesley Bass, of Winterport, Doris Brown of Waterville and Dora Pendleton of Winterport; grandson, Dillon and wife, Chelsea Noble, of Carmel; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Etna. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com.

Horace always had a unique sense of humor, he could tell jokes one after another ,and never repeat the same one twice...being around Horace was always a good time.. R.I.P. Till we meet again.

Uncle Horace,
You were one of a kind... the best of the best..you were always a call away and was on the doorstep to lend a hand to help or a shoulder to cry on..you have helped me over the years to get though the hardest times I have ever had to go though...there is a void in me that was left when I got the call that you were no longer with us...the good Lord needed you with him...your work here was done..rest in peace Unk.I'll see you some day and when I do..I'll say "whats happening"

Dear Uncle Horace,
Man Uncle. I really miss you, But I know you are in a good place. You were the best uncle ever! Always telling jokes and smiling. And that everyone could always talk to you about anything and everything. I will miss all those rides we went drove, we talked and laughed. I remember every time we went out to eat you would always say to me order what you want and it's on me your favorite uncle. You have helped me a lot with mom and you were always there for me to help me understand things. You were the best, I will miss you lots and love you. I will always have a void in my heart, but I know I will see you again real soon. I will never forget what you said to my sister (Kendra) and I, that we will always be sisters no matter what. Keep smiling and no tears.

Horace was probably one of the nicest, kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was always ready to lend a helping hand (and a joke :)). I miss him very much and my heart goes out to you.

Dulcie & Dillion & Family,
Horace will be missed by a lot of people but none more than you. Horace came in to see me just days before going for his surgery and we had a nice chat. I will miss his drop-in and our chats and those blue eyes.
