Funeral Services for Mrs. Hortense White Franklin, 71, DeLand, who departed this life June 16, 2010 will be held 1pm Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 226 East Howry Avenue, DeLand, Reverend Jimmy D. Howard, pastor, officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm at Arthur Mack Funeral Home and Wednesday in the church from 12 Noon until service time. Burial will follow the services at Union Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband: Jimmie Franklin; children: Valarie Franklin, Atlanta, GA; Victor & Warren Franklin and Ollie James, Jr., all of DeLand; a granddaughter whom she raised: Shaquita Johnson and a host of additional grandchildren; three sisters: Louise Franklin, DeLand; Irene Merrick, Miami, FL; Doris Cooper, Punta Gorda, FL; two brothers: Marshall White, DeLand, FL; Ernest White, Jr., Orlando; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
