Dear Betty and Tim,
Greg, Bobby and I were deeply saddened to hear today of Hub's passing. Although many years have passed since you left Sudbury, we have never forgotten our wonderful friends and neighbours. "Hub's Club" is a cherished childhood memory which we have recounted to our children many times. We still have a cassette tape that Mom made many years ago--Hub was singing "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas". Mom and Dad thought so highly of both you and Hub, Betty. We offer our condolences and sympathy as we know the world has lost one truly wonderful person.
Sincerely
Greg, Bobby and Wendy Brooks

I would like to express my deepest sorrow to Betty and her family. It is with great fondness that I think of Betty and Hub. Many, many years ago (1972..) Betty and I worked together. Betty please know that I am thinking of you now. Hub was a great man - large as life. A wonderful way to be remembered. My love and heartfelt sympathies are sent to you today.

To Aunty Betty , Tim , Craig
it is with mixed emtion that I express to you my saddness at your loss.I know that Hub loved life and over the last several years his quality of life has been poor .I can't help but remember all the good memories that Uncle Hub gave to me when I was growing up . I can't remember a time when Uncle Hub was mean or scolded me. What I do remember was that he was happy , fun loving , enjoyed being with people , and that I always felt better after I had seen him .
I do feel that Uncle Hub has been freed from his earthly body with all the suffering it brought him - I feel better knowing that he is gone to be with God and I believe that he is once again with his beloved son Phillie and is watching over us wondering why we are sad .I will keep you all in my prayers . Love Scott

I had the pleasure of knowing "Uncle Hub" throughout my years. I remember fondly the visits to the Rough Riders dressing room, the summer days at the cottage in Sudbury, and the special times we spent with the Beaudry Family. I pray today for Hub's soul, may he rest in peace. I am sure of one thing, he will be reunited with Philip.

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of old friend "Hub" Beaudry in the Suday edition of the Citizen obits. During the 70's and into the early 80's I was the principal film camerman for CBOT sports and as such worked many assignments with "Hub", including hockey, football, curling, sports banquets and countless interviews of local personalities in the sporting world. He was liked by everyone and was a delight to work with. I extend my condolences to the Beaudry family. Cliff Buckman, Langley, B.C.

Dear Mrs. Beaudry and family:
As a youngster growing up in Glace Bay, Cape Breton,in the early 1950s, I was fortunate to sell hockey programs at the 'Miners' hockey games in the Maritime Major Hockey League and therefore was able to see all games at the Forum. I always remembered Hub and his skill as a Charlottetown Islander hockey player - complete with his black, brush-cut, hair.
In 1972 I was posted with the Air Force to Ottawa and was able to reaquaint with Hub through the medium of CBC TV. I always tuned in to Hub's sport casts because I knew that I was listening to a very knowledgeable professional. God Bless him. I am sure Saint Peter has plans for him in that big studio in the sky. Sincerely, Xavier McGillivary
