Howard will be dearly missed. Although we were friends for a few short years, I will treasure the good times we had. He was such a good man.

I will miss my dear friend, Howard. We enjoyed many times together. Short road trips, nature, good food and great conversations. I know how much Howard enjoyed his books. And he had great interest in the railroad, mysteries and detective subjects. He knew personally many authors who signed his first edition books, and he valued them very much. Howard and I tried to have contact daily. I am very sadden that I last spoke with him on Sunday and he was found on Wednesday. God Bless him. I know he is at peace. I will hold and keep our great memories. He enjoyed cat, Mr. Lou, very much. I am happy Mr. Lou has a new home.
