Howard Hunt, 82, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, resided in Oakland and Rowan County, Kentucky. Howard was born in Majestic, Kentucky on October 26, 1932, to Phil Hunt and Thursey Hunt Wolford. He died of cardiac arrest in Lexington, Kentucky, on Sunday, October 25, 2015, one day shy of his 83rd birthday. Howard was an alumnus of the University of Kentucky where he received his master's of education degree. For 30 years, he worked in Toledo Public Schools: teaching Business at Macomber, Luella Cummings and he retired as a visiting teacher. He also worked for the Toledo Teacher's Credit Union and Man Power. Howard loved being outdoors and derived great joy from keeping up his Kentucky properties.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa, Helen and Kit Hunt; his sisters, Doris Justice (John) and Lois Jones (Elmer); his nephew, Randy Maynard; his nieces, Joan Blackburn and Debbie Daughtry; his grandchildren, Max and Rose Farrar, and his great-granddaughter, Maya Farrar. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Frona.

The visitation will be at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43613, (between Secor and Douglas Roads), on Thursday, October 29, from 4-8 p.m. There will be a graveside service in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 W. Central Avenue, Toledo, OH 43606, on Friday, October 30th, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
