Howard Raymond Kindred Sr

Georgetown - Howard R. Kindred Sr., 75, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Queens, New York, Howard lived a life marked by service, strength, and compassion. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy Kindred, and is survived by his son, Howard R. Kindred Jr., and daughter-in-law Nicole, of Austin, Texas.

Howard spent much of his professional life in transportation and public service. He served as Operations Manager for Carolina Freight Carriers, where his integrity and leadership made a lasting impact. Later, while facing serious health challenges and waiting for a liver transplant, he became CEO of NEPATSG (Northeastern Pennsylvania Transplant Support Group), guiding the organization from 1993 to 2014 with courage and a heart for helping others.

A man of many talents and passions, Howard was deeply involved in bodybuilding and kickboxing-disciplines that reflected his physical and mental strength. He was a skilled chess player who relished strategic thinking, and he had a deep love for animals, always making room in his life and heart for them.

He also served his community with pride and dedication, joining the Marshalls Creek Fire Department and later becoming a Pennsylvania State Constable, a role he held for 15 years.

Howard's life was guided by his personal motto:

"Never, ever, ever, ever give up. There is always a way."

That spirit carried him through life's challenges and inspired those around him.

Howard leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, generosity, and deep love. He was a devoted husband, loving father, a fierce friend, and a man who always found strength in service.
