To my cousin Wendy, Uncle Howie was truly a favorite uncle & I was saddened to learn of his passing, as was my mom, Susie Thorne. To her, the two of them were like brother and sister growing up, as they were only children in their respective families. Mom sold her house & is in a nursing home and sorry she missed phone calls from Howie a time or two, as am I. I'm also sorry for Aunt Helen's & Sandy's passing, as you were all a pretty great bunch of cousins the few times that we were all together.

I was sadden to learn of Dr. Koch's passing. He was a fine gentleman with a great sense of humor and an important player on the ARCO team when working for the company was an honor and joy as well as a challenge.

Dr Koch was one of the reasons ARCO was such a great company to work for. The many engineers that worked for him will miss him very much.
