Hainoch, is it true? How could this be? You were the kindest, nicest boy in the neighborhood growing up. And I adored your parents, both of them.
Hard to imagine the world without you.

Carole, I just now learned of Howards passing. I'm stunned to say the least. My condolences to you and your family. I didn't know Howard personally, the closest I got was to type up his thesis or some type of paper he was writing at the time regarding skiing. That had to be prior to 1997. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that the years that have passed have brought you and your family some peace.

Dear Carole and Family,
Our Abington Group of Compassionate Friends just heard about Howard's passing at Monday's meeting. We were all shocked and saddened to hear this news. When I first started coming 6.5 years ago he and Molly were a fixture at every meeting. He was such a warm compassionate man. His love for his family was never a question. I missed Molly as she stopped coming as her family continued to grow. I felt like you were our "young" member and you with your bright smile and growing belly gave me hope for the future. Through your stories I felt like I knew your wonderful family. Howard did not come as often anymore but when he did we were all so happy to see him. He will be missed.
I wish you all peace and serenity at such a difficult time,
Cheryl Levine

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Family and close Friends of Dr. Prof. Medoff.
Dr. Prof. Medoff was my instructor for several classes and my Academic Advisor at Spring Garden College from Sept 1974 thru May 1978. With his help and counsel I was able to graduate on-time. He was a great instructor who was easy to talk to, patient with those who really tried to learn what he was teaching, and quick to help students visualize engineering concepts. He had a knack for knowing when to inject humor into a situation and when to be serious. I will always have fond memories of him as a teacher, career counsellor/advisor, and all around great guy.
May God grant all of you peace and calm in your hearts during this trying time. May God grant him Eternal Rest.

I waited on Howard for 4+ years at Starbucks and was so sad today to hear of his passing... He was a very kind person, and always seemed to be content. I love that it was mentioned that he read 3 papers a day, because that was something we all knew about him at Starbucks, and I felt so bad when we stopped selling the Inquirer.. But Howard just noted it and said "oh well", and moved on. I never sensed any negativity from him, which is so refreshing.. On a personal note, Howard showed me great compassion when he checked in with me on several occasions about my sick father.. All I could think of is how many people he interacted with on a daily basis, and still had a place in his heart for me. What a display he was of empathy and kindness... Rest in peace, dear man.. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your loved ones...
