News Death Notice

TRON, Howard Dalton age 84, passed from this life into the hands of our Lord and Savior at 11:05 pm, Wednesday, December 15, 2010, after a month long battle with lung cancer. He was the son of Arthur Ernest Tron and Frances Mae (Fox) Tron, born and raised on Conservancy Road, Wayne Township, Dayton, which is now Bridgewater Road. He's from a farm family of 9 - a life he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; and one brother. Howard is survived by his wife of over 58 ½ years, Miriam June (Burnside) Tron; 4 children: Gregory (Cheryl), Gordon (Glenda), Teresa (Luis) and Christopher (Karen); 8 grandchildren: Jason (Kim), Jeanette (Jason), Jeffrey, Jennifer, Haley, Andre, Dalton and Austin; one new great granddaughter and his doll baby of 4 months, Bridget Leann Tron; and 3 sisters. He faithfully attended First Baptist Church; was a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army Air Corps; loved gardening and planting flowers; and worked for many years with Miami Conservancy District, Wayne Township (Huber Heights) Schools and Dayton-Montgomery County Park District. He was also a farmer and was proud that he was always able to work two jobs to support his family. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, with visitation from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday, December 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church, 6533 S. Tipp-Cowlesville Road, Tipp City, just South of Maple Hill Cemetery, where burial will take place immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be greatly appreciated if given to Community Mercy Hospice, 444 West Harding Road, Springfield, Ohio 45504. The family would like to thank and send appreciation to their nurse, Lynn and to all the other nurses from hospice who cared for Howard during his final days.
