Howard Twilley

I remember Howard as a good friend and athlete I played football with him for two years in 1959 and 1960 at Galena Park High School

In my previous message I accidentally typed the wrong year. It was 1971 that Julie Twilley was my teacher. They were married for 56 years. Rest in peace Howard.

Rip Howard, condolences to the family. You brought me great pleasure as a little kid in 1972,along with your perfect teammates. Godspeed.

My deepest condolences to the Twilley family. He was an amazing man. Back in 1979, Howard´s wife was my fourth grade teacher at Miami Coral Park Elementary. One day Howard ran in and out of the classroom to drop something off for his wife. He tried not to interrupt the class, but all the students were talking about meeting the great Howard Twilley.

Howard was fun to watch. Not a big receiver, but he had a huge heart. He always gave it his all, and then some, and he was a skilled route runner and receiver. The type of hard working extra-effort team player that an all-time great coach could rely on, as was the case with Shula and Twilley in Miami.
