Hugh C. Ferguson

Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

July 14, 2009

I never met Hugh in person, he was a client and became a friend. We spoke on the phone even after he was no longer with our firm. I liked his easy way and thoughtfulnes about life.

I will miss our conversations.

To the Ferguson Family,
Our heartfelt sympathies to your family. Sandy will be greatly missed. He was a kind and sweet man and always had a hello for everyone, especialy the children. My grandchildren, Willa, Ben and Maris were so fond of him.

To All Fergs:
Sandy--quiet, thoughtful, discerning and caring for God's creatures-great- small-human-avian-mammal-animal etc.
He made me believe I fit into one of these categories (didn't ever say which)as one who felt blessed with Sandy's caring friendship.
Prayers for your strength and Sandy's peace.

On Father's Day, especially, our hearts go out to you, Amy, Ferg and Wenley. How lucky we are to have been the sons and daughters of such wonderful dads.
With sympathy and empathy,

I was putting out bird seed this morning, and I remember helping Sandy fill his feeder a few years ago. I have taught many people birding, from what he taught me.

Some of the things that make me laugh about Sandy are:
** don't take to much Holly from the bushes.
** eat your peas.
** Moll, can you come over again to fix my phone?
** squeeze your bottocks.
** Legal Seafood

Sandy was a very important in my life and he will be cheerished in my memory.
My thought are with his family.

My bird book Sandy gave me in 1973 is just one of the many profound legacies this great man will have left me - and I'm certain countless others in similar ways. He was a quiet leader who, through example, helped us all to connect with God's great gifts in deeper, more meaningful ways than perhaps we might have realized. Regardless of the number of birds he finally saw, what a LIFE LIST!
