My favorite memory of Hugh is when one evening at their home Jean and him were dancing. They were so happy, laughing and smiling. I worked with him for 13 years and will always remember how fun it was. The stories he told of his life and his family. He was so proud of them. My Condolences to his family as he will be missed. Rest in Peace Hugh and I hope you are dancing your jig with Jean as I type this.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Capt. Howie. I worked for the Port at Vanterm when he was the Terminal Manager. He was always so calm, friendly and had a smile for everyone, he was very efficient and helpful and always a pleasure to talk to. Thinking of his family at this sad time with sympathy. Sharon Sims
