PETRIE Suddenly, at Western General Hospital, on 24th March, 2009, Hugh Watson Anton Petrie, Rectory Close, Hawick, very much loved partner of Carol, dearly loved son of Alex, devoted father of Shona and Ross, stepfather of Heather, Graham and Martin, proud grandfather of Bethany, much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle to the family and dear friend of many. Family flowers only, there will be a retiring collection, if desired, for Borders Stoma Service. No longer with us but never forgotten
Hugh, you were always there to celebrate the joyous occasions with me but more importantly you were there to support me through the difficult times. It seems so unfair that you had come through so much yourself and were so happy with Carol and living life to the full. Our world will certainly be a duller place without you. I already miss you so much and will miss our blethers when we would put the world to rights and analyse Hawick rugby from top to bottom. You were a great brother to me and I will never forget you. All my love.
