Hunter was born Sept. 19, 1990, in Davenport. He was about to enter the eighth grade at Sudlow Intermediate School, where he was a first honors student, and member of the band. I didn't know Hunter very well, but he's not someone you could forget. He was on my school bus, I saw him almost every day. Whenever we had a substitute driver he would sit in the front seat and tell her where to go because he was the only one that remembered where all the stops were. Though I've moved away, I'll miss him as much as everyone in Davenport.

Michael, Brenda,Baron,

We were very sadden to hear about Hunter. He and Baron were always polite and well behaved little boys when they attended Happy Joe's Child Care Achievement Center, Davenport. It was always a pleasure to be around Hunter with his happy and funloving attitude. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Im so sorry for the loss of Hunter. He was a good friend of mine that I had met i the sixth grade and he was always in a really good mood. When ever I saw him he always smiled and when he entered a room, it became a happier room. I'm sorry I could not make it to the visitation or funneral because I was out of town. He was the nicest guy to anyone and I know that in Heaven he will be just as happy as he was here with us. He will allways be in my prays and so will the Vondrans. Hunter I love you and miss you alot!

Love,

Claire

Mike, Brenda, and Baron-we have returned home but our hearts and prayers are still with you. Thank you for the invitation by Annie for lunch but we just felt you had done the "people" thing long enough at that point. I pray your guardian angels lead you gently through the difficult days ahead. Peace. Pete and Linda

Mike, Brenda & Baron. I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of Hunter. It just seemed like yesterday that I was caring for him in my home (Grape Vine Child Care). I watched him grow for the first 3-4 years of his life into a wonderful little boy. Over the years I have stayed in touch to see how both boys have grown into fine young men. My heart aches for your loss, he will truly be missed by all of those that have come in contact with him. My family was out of town over the last week and I did not hear about Hunter until late Sunday night. I am so very sorry to have missed the visitation, but I am very thankful that I was able to attend the funeral on Monday morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mike, Brenda, Baron and extended family, words alone can not describe the sorrow we feel for your family during this time. Hunter touched so many people in his short stay on earth. I feel truly blessed to have met him, he was one of the most charming, respectful and "together" young men I have ever known. Hunters tragic loss will forever change how most of us view what is important in our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

i went 2 school with hunter, and hes always been the only person everybody loves. im a year older than him, but i saw him quite frequently, he was friends with everyone and is probably the nicest guy ive ever met. i think most people who know him think the same of him, and, i went to church with him too. to even imagine something like this happening to him is....the worst. hunter was just one of those people who knew everything, or had an opinion. it just doesnt seem fair at all for anything to have happened to him or his family. they are the niceset group of people that you could ever find. its too surreal, to terrible for anyone to fully grasp. its hard to imagine him being gone.

I was a classmate and friend of Hunter's in the sixth and seventh grades. I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a great friend, and I extend my sympathies to the family and friends of this wonderful child. He was too young to have his number called up, but I know that he will be playing his drums in peace.

Hunter was one of those people that you can never forget about. He was funny and smart and would barely get mad about things. It is so sad to see him go. I would just like to send my condolences to the family and let Hunter know he will never be forgotten.

August 21, 2004

I think I speak for every kid at Sudlow, Hunter was the nicest person you could ever meet. When I think about it no one didn't like Hunter, and he was friends with anyone and everyone. No one had a sence of humor like Hunter, just being around him made you smile. I remember he sat behind me in humanities class and he would always want to "braid" my hair, of course he didn't know how, but it was so funny to see him try. He was just a goofy guy, and that's what everyone loved about him, from the kids to the teachers. When my friends and I saw the picture in the newspaper of him in his rancid t-shirt and that goofy smile on his face we all just said "that's so Hunter" because the way I'll always remember Hunter is with a smile, he didn't go anywhere without it.

I remember how fun and caring Hunter was. He never got mad at any one and he was always there for others. School will never be the same without him. Everytime I think of Hunter happy memories pop into my mind...without him nothing will be the same. They are very lucky to have such a great guy up there.

Remembering Hunter...

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever:

It's lovliness increases; it will never

Pass into nothingness: but still will keep

A bower quiet for us, and a sleep

Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing..."
