We hold fond memories of Hurshel in our hearts. One of our more memorable ones comes from 1977 when he thwarted the efforts of two would-be thieves trying to enter the bedroom where he and Treva were sleeping. His admonishment to them- "I wouldn't do that if I were you"- proved effective in securing the safety of the home. Everyone has their special moments. Our deepest condolences to the family in their loss.

My thoughts and prayers to the Shank family. I remember Hurshel always having a smile on his face. My family would attend the same craft shows and Hurshel always had stories to tell. What a great man he was. May his memories be cherished. God Bless you all.
