I. David Foreman, Sr.

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, I. David Foreman, Sr., a loving husband, father, and grandfather, entered into rest at the age of 79.

Dave was born on September 27, 1943, to George and Dorasteen (Wilson) Foreman in Port Allen, Louisiana.

He worked offshore as a Crane Operator at the Port of West Baton Rouge for 32 years. After retiring from there he drove a school bus for the Port Allen School System for 13 years. Just so he could continue working he took a job working for Associated Groceries for a number of years. Needless to say, as one of his daughters summed it up, "Daddy was a workaholic." Dave loved fishing, cutting grass, working on cars, and just tinkering on things because he loved the outdoors.

Dave was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1964. He became a regular pioneer. Back then he had no car so he would start out walking. Everyone knew him so someone would always pick him up. He would pack a lunch and at lunchtime eat under a tree, then go right back into Service. He had such a great love for his God Jehovah.

Dave is survived by his wife, Frances Pack Foreman; a brother, Edward Foreman; four sons: I.D. Foreman, Jr., Edward James Foreman, Fredrick Lee Foreman, and Eric Foreman. Two daughters: Kimberly Foreman and Vanessa Foreman; a stepdaughter, Vickie Vaughn; and a stepson, Sean K. Vaughn.

Dave was preceded in death by one daughter Karen Foreman Stewart, and one son Michael Jeremy Foreman.

A Memorial Service for Dave will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. via Zoom.

The Family wishes to thank The Hospice of Baton Rouge for all the wonderful care shown to our family. We also thank Professional Funeral Services of Port Allen for extending themselves above and beyond their usual protocol to comfort our family. Not to be forgotten is all the love extended by all our family, friends, and relatives. Dave would certainly have appreciated everything.
