I. Tuffs Obituary
Mrs Irene May Tuffs, of Mastin Moor, has died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 78.
Born at New Whittington and a lifelong resident of this area, she was a housewife and mother who previously worked as a shop assistant, at a betting office, and as a rep at Blundels Furniture.
A family lady first and foremost, Mrs Tuffs enjoyed crown green bowling, bingo, dominoes, darts and was a member of Staveley British Legion and Mastin Moor Miners' Welfare Club. She was also treasurer of the bowls club there.
The widow of the late Kenneth Tuffs, she leaves a son Barry, daughter Karen and four grandchildren Cathy, Gemma, Craig and Nicola.
Cremation at Chesterfield takes place at 2.30pm on Monday.
