We have many good and varied memories of Ian´s kindness and encouragement to us, our family and to many others. May peace and light surround him and those he loves.

As a young man I was part of both church and para church youth groups - and some of these at times met in the Bourne household in Hataitai. Along with a wider group of friends, I knew Mary and Richard - who were part of those various groups.
I remember Ian from those days, and I wish to convey to the immediate and wider family my sincerest sympathies at his recent passing . May God's peace sustain you all in the coming days.

Dear Margaret & family,
Ian was a very soft spoken, kind, knowledgeable and fun person to be with. We remember the fun times we had playing games especially mini golf, exchanging stamps, walks, going to church and his openness to Chinese meals out. We were blessed to be able to spend some time with him even though it was short for us. We are going to miss him but we know that he is going to have an everlasting adventure in heaven. God Bless!
