Ian Ganahl Obituary
Ian had a happy childhood, enjoying playing with his friends, riding his bike, playing with the dog, swimming, soccer, Little League, Boy Scouts and life itself. He was an Altar Boy at St Anthony Church for several years.
Ian graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in 1991. Following graduation Ian decided he wanted to see the world and joined the US Navy. Among other ships, he was serving on the LST USS Fresno at the time it was retired from service and was featured in a Fresno Bee story as he was born and raised in Fresno.
He then attended both California State University, San Marcos where he was treasurer of TKE fraternity and then Fresno State where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Information Systems.
He had a great laugh, a wonderful sense of humor, and had a comedy routine on a variety of radio stations over the years.
Ian had a smile for everyone and whoever he met was his instant friend.
He leaves behind his loving parents, his father, John Ganahl, his mother Jeanette Ganahl, his sister Kerry and his brother Bryan. He was preceded in death by his sister Emily.
He will be forever in our hearts.
