I am saddened to hear the loss of Professor Sir Ian Wilmut, a cloning pioneer. His passing away is an irreparable loss and has created a vacuum in the scientific fraternity. As an Indian researcher in 1997 while I was doing my Post doctoral program in University of Guelph, Canada under the mentorship of Prof.Dr.Stanley P Leibo, I was blessed with a lifetime opportunity to meet Prof Sir Ian Wilmut in Torronto, Canada along with Prof. Keith Betteridge and Prof Dr.Gyu Jin Rho in a Scientific forum where he shared his experiences in cloning *Dolly*
May the great soul rest in peace. I pray the almighty to give the family members the strength to overcome the loss.
