Ida Butchart

BUTCHART _ Ida (nee Stern) September 13, 1919 - January 23, 2006. Passed away in the Lions Gate Hospital at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband William (Jack). Ida is survived and will be greatly missed by her children: Beverley (Stephen), Shirley, Bill, Wendy (Rick) and Bob; grandchildren: Stephen (Sarah), Scott, Melinda (Brett) and Bill (Rhiannon); and her great-granddaughter Paige. Ida also leaves behind sisters Ella, Emma and Irene (Pete) as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Ida will be remembered for her love for her family. She lived a quiet, unassuming life always focused on her family and their needs. She faced many health challenges over the years and did so with great patience, courage and dignity. Ida's family would like to thank the staff of the Emergency Department, Respiratory Therapy Department and especially Dr. Doe, Dr. Bergstrom and the amazing nursing, professional and support staff on 2 West Coronary Care Unit of the Lions Gate Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Craig Bergstrom and his office staff for his many years of caring for Mom. It was Ida's request that she be cremated and that no formal service be held. A family gathering and service will be held later in February. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ida's memory to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation for the Coronary Care Unit.
