Idabelle Deshazer, a long-time resident of Payette, Idaho, passed away from natural causes on January 19, 2013, at the age of 90. She had been residing at Prairie House Assisted Living in La Pine, Oregon.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the First Baptist Church in Payette, Idaho.
Idabelle was born September 16, 1922, to Fay and Floy (Warden) Wells in Payette, Idaho, where she lived until 2009 when she was forced to move to be closer to her daughter because of the effects of Alzheimer's disease.
Over the years Idabelle had several jobs outside the home, but her main job in life was to maintain a loving home for her husband, Les, and their kids, which she did very well. She retired from Idaho Power Company, where she had been an executive secretary for many years. Idabelle was a member of the First Baptist Church in Payette her entire life, where she served on many boards and was active in a missionary group. She was loved by many, and will be missed by those whose lives she has touched.
Survivors include her son Roy Deshazer (wife Beverly) of Belleville, Illinois; daughter Dianne Moore (husband Larry) of Crescent, Oregon; step-son Gary Deshazer of Wilder, Idaho; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Idabelle was a loving mother, model mother-in-law, wonderful grandmother, and she will be sorely missed by her family.
She is preceded in death by her soul mate and husband of over 50 years, Lester Deshazer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Idabelle's memory to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 218, Payette, Idaho 83661.
Baird Memorial Chapel of La Pine was honored to serve the family; (541) 536-5104; www.bairdmortuaries.com.

Idabelle became my Grandma when I was 16 years old. We were excepted as her Grandchildren, the day her Son Roy married my Mom Beverly, and I will never forget that as long as I live. Every time I smell cinnamon rolls I think of her and hers were the best. She was so funny and loved her Lord and made him proud. You will be missed Grandma D. I know you are happy that you are with Grandpa Les.

Remembering all the Holidays we spent with Les and IdaBelle growing up! They were always very special! They were great grandparents and I am comforted by the thought of them back together in heaven with The Lord!

One of many Birthdays and a good Sunday dinner at Les and Idabelle's.

Sitting at my computer trying to think of what I could type to convey my thoughts from a lifetime of memories of my grand mother but realize I could not possibly do them justice in word. All I can think of is "it was all good". She was a great grand mother and I have many fond memories of visiting my grandparents in Payette. They were great. I also have no doubt she has now heard words similar to this from the Lord... “...‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Matthew 25:21 Thanks grandma.
