We can learn a lot from the way Mr. Brown led his life. He witness about God and HIS son Jesus.
To Family and Friends let your memories of Idell console you as we strengthen our own relationship with God.

Idell was a great friend to me for about 15+ years.
We've traveled and recorded a lot of songs together.
Idell played a very important role in my life as a God-fearing friend whom I can call on anytime for encouragement and words of wisdom even in his last months on earth.
Idell was hungry for the things of God and had Jesus in his heart. We would talk about the love of God for hours.
This is a celebration of his life and home going to be with the Lord! He fought a good fight and finished his race on earth. Thank you Jesus!
I know without a doubt that he's in heaven and we will meet again one day.
Idell was more than just a friend to me. He was my brother and I will always cherish the memories forever.

Prayers to the family and friends of Idell. Read Mary's words. Once the Great George Washington Carver High School vanished we lost touch with so many Trojans. Peace be still.

I have known Idell since childhood and never seen him in our adult life. He was my neighborhood friend and classmate. When we began riding the school bus after walking to school for so long at Carver Elementary it all was challenging back then. Very sorry I did not get to know him as an adult, however my baby sister Diane still lives at our home house in
North Newport News and she still keeps up with everybody around the area. Rest my friend. I will always remember your gentle ways. Condolences to all of the family from the Hunter family on Cener Avenue.
