Dear Lacombe Family...I met Ignatius one time while I was station at Plattsburgh AFB. In the late 80's, he attended my Bachelor's degree graduation. My father could not attend, but, he asked Iggy if he had the time, could he attend--Iggy was the only relative I had in attendance, besides my young daughter, and this was the first time I had met him.

I am Donna Toole, daughter of Fred Bourdon, a second cousin to Ignatius. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours...Ignatius was a gracious and special gentleman indeed...

Some of my favorite Lacombe memories are from our visits to Peru. I loved spending time with you and Uncle Ig and I know how much you will all miss him.

Dear Dorothy and family,
I am sorry to learn of Iggy's death but I know that he is safe in the arms of his Creator and that he has left wonderful memories for his family and friends. Surely, he was a highly regarded and respected member of the North Country and he was understandably proud of his outstanding family. My thoughts are with all of you.

My grandmother lived in Israel and I never really knew my grandfather but when Barb and Ron were living in Mission Viejo and Grandma and Grandpa Lacombe were visiting, they were my surrogate grandparents. Grandpa Lacombe was a great man and he will be missed greatly by my family and I. Great big hugs to grandma Lacombe, Barb and the rest of the family...

We loved you very much Grandpa. I hope I can be as great and caring as you were.
