Inez Sandra Samuels

Inez Sandra Samuels (nee Berger), age 89, of Deerfield, IL, formerly of West Rogers Park, Chicago, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Beloved wife for 68 years of Joseph Samuels; loving mother of Henry (Candy) Samuels, Phillip (Judy) Samuels, and Susan (Irwin) Rotman; cherished Bubby of Marc (Leah) and Katie Samuels, Avi Samuels, Stuart, Aaron and Melissa Rotman and Jessica (Kim) Quenette; blessed Great-Bubby of Jett Quenette; devoted daughter of the late Miriam and late Henry Berger; precious sister of the late Rivian (late Norman) Nardick and late Donna (late Wallace) Cohen; dear sister-in-law of Dr. Arnold (Lois) Samuels and the late Shelwin (late Rosalie) Samuels; adored aunt of many nieces and nephews.



Inez had a zest for life. She was a K.I.N.S. preschool "Morah," an avid knitter and a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. A self-proclaimed "beach bunny," she spent as much time as possible at Howard Street and Northwestern Beaches and took pleasure in being active. When she was not spending her time outside, she enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking up new recipes for her famous Seders and Shabbat dinners. She loved to be around her family and most of all, spending her time with her dear husband, Joe. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of Gidwitz Place for Assisted Living, including her caregiver, David, who cared so much of our loving wife, mother and bubby.

Service Monday, 2:00 p.m. CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Block N. of Lake Cook Rd.). Inez's service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
