Irene Desmettre

Although I didn't know her very well and my daughters will never get to know who would have been their great-grandmother, we are lucky to have little sweaters and blankets made by her over the years to remember her with. Whenever we see those things we will talk about where they came from and who made them and, in doing so, remember a small part of our meme and great-meme.

My time spend over the years with Irene was a priveledge, she was a very proud woman and a special friend -
we will meet again sometime for some shared memories and laughter.
