I loved Irene. She was funny, clever, feisty, and kind. When I was Public Relations Coordinator at Samaritan House, she was my favorite volunteer, even after she was past 100 years old. Once she broke her pelvis, and came to volunteer anyway before she went to the hospital. We had to push her to go get treatment. All who knew her loved her very much.
