My sister, Irene, was a curious child full of wonder and enlightenment. She would say her brain was like a flower blooming with ideas. At age three, I saw her on the side of the house in Puerto Rico watering her feet with a hose. I asked her what she was doing. I am making myself grow like the plants and trees. We would see her next to grandpa digging and planting seeds. She continued to plant seeds and gave with a listening heart of love that always reflected the person she was with and their interests.
I miss her, our talks, visits, hugs and places tent camping and picnicking in remote areas, and I think about places we wanted to explore in her Chinook camper. She loved the Oregon coast and spent hours agate hunting on the beach besides digging razor clams and picking up a special rock to write the date, time and place to remember.
She is with me and gives me the strength in faith to move forward. Irene has served her profession, parents, Angela and family members and friends with honor and love faithfully. May she be guided by Mom, Dad, Joe and her pets into the peace of God's loving hands and heart. Bless you dear sister, Irene. I love you! Ginny

My sincerest condolences to Irene's daughter, Angela, and family.
Irene, thank you for the many years of friendship, love, and support.
We had so many wonderful times together - at work, drag shows, and many great mornings/afternoons at restaurants driving the waitresses crazy because we would chat for hours before even ordering.
I shall forever cherish all the time we spent together.
Rest peacefully, my friend!

Irene was my supervisor and a mentor when I was just starting out at 18. Fremont was a true family in those days and I had the pleasure of being a part of of something special. Irene was instrumental in good care to our community and is responsible for hiring scores of great nurses in our community today. Thank you Irene for making our community a better place!
