I have known Irene since our college days working at Carlson Library as card catalog filers. Irene was a lovely honest person with a heart of gold. She had dreams of traveling and would have loved to work for the art museum. She left this earth too soon.

I did business with, and worked for the Zunkiewicz family.
Very "down to earth" people, with "hearts of gold".
Irene was somewhat withdrawn, and shy, but through whatever brief interactions I had with her, you could tell she was very sweet, and kind.
Irene was the type of person we could use more of in today's world.
Her legacy of humility, and kindness will be sorely missed by many who may not even have known her.

A St. Hedwig Grade School classmate.
Irene was quiet but friendly. She and I shared an interest, playing violin. She lived upstairs in a duplex, on the opposite side of the block as my grandma. I recall having a sweet friend I could play with when staying at my grandmas.
Irene was a good student and had a heart of gold.
May the Lord welcome you home Irene. Rest in eternal peace.

Our condolences to Edmund, Lauri, and the entire Zunkiewicz family. Irene was a kind soul and we always enjoyed spending time with her at our family get togethers. Irene was loved and will be missed.
