Mrs Iris Joan Johnson, of Millfield Care Home, Cedar Park Road, Bolsover, and formerly of Welbeck Road, Bolsover, has died at the home, aged 81. Born in Bolsover, she lived in the area all her life. On leaving school, she worked in the wages office of Bolsover Colliery. Mrs Johnson, who was a housewife, was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed watching television, crosswords, reading and knitting. Widow of William, she leaves three daughters Anne, Pat and Lynn, two sons-in-law John and John, a granddaughter Katie and a grandson Peter. Cremation is due to take place today at 9.50am.
