Our mother worked at least 40 hours a week, kept a well cleaned home while she went to school to better herself and most importantly to provide for her Family. With poise, determination and character she taught us what is possible regardless of our circumstances. She set the bar for her girls high. She entrusted the values of the church, her parents and our dad to us to continue their legacy. Our parents stressed the importance of education, giving to those less fortunate and volunteerism. They laid the foundation of our faith by practicing what they preached and showing us by being involved in various church and community organizations. Our father is one happy man with the love of his life right beside him again.
The family would like to Thank the Knights of Columbus and the Ladies Auxiliary of Council #7323 and Mr. & Mrs. Luis De la Cerda of Taurino’s Restaurant for their love and support in our time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory of our beloved Mother Irma R Hernandez.
Family and friends will meet Friday, February 21, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church (5919 Ingram Rd.) for Visitation beginning at 5:00 P.M. and recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 P.M. followed by Mass at 7:00 P.M. Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to my cousins and family. Your mother's kindness was contagious and her memory will live on forever. Aunt Irma you may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. I much admired your spirit and your devotion to family.
