Irma Horvath Shepherd

Irma Horvath Shepherd ,82, of Phillipsburg, NJ went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in her home. Irma was born in Brainards, Harmony Township, NJ on June 9, 1932 to the late Anthony and Irene Nagy Horvath. Irma was, at one time, employed with the Phillipsburg School District as a Lunch Lady and as a classroom aide in Special Education. She was also a home health aide for various individuals. Irma was a Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher earlier in her life. She enjoyed helping others, being with her family and sitting on her porch. Irma was a member of Phillipsburg Alliance Church in Phillipsburg, NJ. Irma is survived by her husband of 63 years, Russell L. Shepherd; sons, Russell A. Shepherd, his wife Elizabeth and their children Michael and Catherine of Miami Shores, FL; Jeffrey Shepherd, his wife Renae and their children Jeffrey, Tyler, Daniel and Corrine of Nazareth, PA; and Timothy Shepherd, his wife Amanda, and their children Amri and Sawyer of Palmer Township, PA; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Horvath and a sister, Irene March. Services will be announced at a later date. The Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Pkwy; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865 has been entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be in Harmony Presbyterian Cemetery, Harmony Township, NJ.
