To Irv's family -
Irv cut my hair many times over the years - and we were as close as cousins in talking about kids, grandkids, his Mom, old romances, old jokes and such. He was a true gentleman and a warm friend. He will be truly missed by the wonderful family he loved -- not to mention the many fellows he inspired with his warmth and friendship in his work. Farewell, good friend!

To Irv's family,
I always looked forward to getting a great haircut and having a very enjoyable conversation with Irv. We talked about everything -- from the San Luis Valley to his kids to the fact that we both had survived cancer. Irv was a real gentleman. He will be missed.

To the family,
My hair was cut by Luis Espinoza for over 20 years. Your Father helped me get over his sudden death. I went to the shop yesterday for my monthly haircut. 3/2/10
Tom told me what happened. I'm deeply in shock. Your Father couldn't stop talking about his grand-kids a month ago. He told me he was making his famous jalapeno poppers for the Baptismal Dinner. He was beaming telling me about his Family, his pride of Race and how we love the FOOD! He'll be truly missed. I'm so sorry.

You were such a ray of sunshine. I work across the street from the Mane Cut, and was excited to find Irv in the barbershop when I stopped in for a haircut three years ago. My friend Karen (Cardinal) Hecht and I went to Lincoln High with Irv and Gloria. Dear God, what a shock. Karen and I were just there laughing with him a few days before the accident. My heart and prayers go out to the family. He'll certainly be missed. Such a gentle, fun man. What an awful thing. God Bless him, and his family. is there anything we can do to help? I am so sorry to hear about Irv. He was such a great person and friend. Irv had been cutting my hair for over 7 years. He always made you feel so comfortable. He always talked so kindly of his family and grandchildren. Irv was truly one of the great people who showed you by example how you should live your life. He was a true American patriot. His memories will always stay with me.

We have known Irv for over 44 years (Diane), 30 years (Don) and 24 years (Ryan) and always enjoyed the time spent with him. We will miss him and he will forever be in our hearts.

I was introduced to Irv over 25 years ago through his brother Ronnie. I always looked forward seeing him as he was such a joy to spend time with. To the entire Rodriguez family,you are all in our families thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

I knew Irv as a friend and as my barber for over 30 years. He was a gentleman, a great family man, an entrpreneur, and had a great sense of humor. A good example of a life well lived, although much too short. I will miss him.

I have know Irv since his beginnings behind the old Copper Kitchen on West Colfax (now Rockler Music). He has been my friend and barber for over 40 years and knows and cut all my kids hair. Irv gave our sons their first haircuts many years ago and cut my husband's hair too. Irv was so special to all of us with his jaunty laugh and funny jokes. Irv gave me my first hair cut as a child. My Mom wishes she had a camera that day, my Brother and Dad were in the chairs next to me at the old Barber shop on Colfax and Pierce. I am now 42 and bald, but my prayers and thoughts are with you
