Irwin STEWART

Dr. Stewart is remembered with great respect and admiration by those at the Pacific Otolaryngology Foundation, of which Dr. Stewart was a founding member. On behalf of the Foundation and personally, it was an honour to work with Dr. Stewart and his leadership will be greatly missed.

Irwin, a Friend, a Mentor, a Brother in Rotary. A Leader par excellence. Your work in the underdeveloped world, for the benefit of the sick and the poor will continue by the team you assembled. Thank you for the memories. Surely a special place in heaven awaits a man like you. May the work you started be blessed forever.

As my big brother growing up in Manitoba, he was always completely in charge if need be, very dependable, and very patient. He was usually quite fair, and the one you looked up to for advice, and always would be. He will be greatly missed at all of our family reunions.

Dear Lois and Family, We are all saddened by the death of Irwin. He set standards both professionally and personally for all of us to strive for. He contributed so much of his time to humanitarian work ,locally and globally resulting in his recognition and membership in the Order of Canada and Order of British Columbia. He was the ist member of the CSO-HNS to receive both of these prestigious awards. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of grief. Pat Gullane ,Toronto

Lois so sad to read of Irwin's recent passing. We were so proud to be associated with the two of you over the years & have missed you greatly at the annual CSO meetings. Again our sincerest condolences.

Dr. Stewart was a kind, generous and caring person and the best boss in the world. He will be missed by all.

I will remember salmon fishing on the west coast of Vancouver Island with Irwin and Ross Stewart. Bad fishing /Good fishing but always GREAT company.

Very nice person indeed! He helped me a lot when I was a Rotary schoolarship in Vancouver in 1992/1993. We will miss You.

Long ago Irwin was my brother in law by marriage, an all 'round good guy. An accomplished man who no doubt had no enemies.

Dr. Stewart was simply a wonderful man. Sending love to Mrs. Stewart and the entire family.

Irwin was a great friend,teacher,mentor and such a dedicated physician to both the New West community and many communities in other countries. His friendly and energetic spirit was always so inspiring and he will be very much missed .

RIP my Friend

Irwin was my favorite Uncle. He was a mentor to me during years growing up when we spent summers up at Sakinaw Lake, and Christmases at his house or ours. He was an inspiration to me as an adult when I fully understood the extent of his humanitarian accomplishments instead of wondering why he was flying to Kenya all the time. In later years he assisted me with research into our family tree, a subject which he had already completed extensive research on. Will really miss knowing you are there Irwin.

Dr. Stewart was a great partner and good Doctor for the last 30 years of our practice.

Irwin was a great contributor to Canadian Otolaryngology, and a wonderful person to work with in the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology. Our thoughts are with Lois and his family.
