I remember meeting you the first time maybe in 6th grade or something like that at fuel. We were joking and talking about filthy frank and playing Stratego I believe but I'm really gonna miss the random hangouts where we'd go into the woods and make a fire, make food, set up a hammock and talk for hours. I remember the one night where it was super late and raining very fondly, trying to light that damn fire was miserable but hell it was still a great night. I had been at my lowest and you were there for me. Not necessarily giving me advice but you had shared experiences and that made me feel heard which I had never in that way before. I'm sorry we didn't get to go in the corps together. We would've loved that. Miss you brother can't wait to catch up one day, I have so much to tell you.

You were my first friend growing up, and all I ever think about and what adventures we could of had as adults, hearing from everyone else you had such a bright soul and personality that just shined anytime you showed up, I saw that shine that last time we saw each other even tho it was for 2 minutes, I think about you EVERYDAY, and you show me signs all the time, wether is wild rabbits or pretty sunsets and shooting stars, I see and feel you dude. Today is actually your 21st birthday and I just hope ur celebrating up there with everyone else, I love you bro and miss you so so so much, gone way too soon, wish I hugged you longer that day

His love for History! At one of the Easter dinners at Dandy´s, we sat together at the kids table. At some point we began talking about war (?!) and I was amazed by all the information he had to share. His eyes literally wide open with so much passion for history. At the time I was reading about Black soldier´s experiences during the Vietnam War for a class. It was as if he was taking the class with me! He was just so knowledgeable about everything!
I remember this so vividly because he always seemed so timid and quiet when I was around. That day, his openness to talk to me made me like I finally made it into the family. I am eternally grateful. Thank you, Isaiah.

Oh how I think about you every single day. Your smile lit up every room you walked into and your gentle soft voice will be so missed. I can not even imagine this holiday season without you. From the time you could walk, you always made an effort to give each family member a little gift with a big smile at Christmas. And during the pirate polyanna game, you had a way to make the whole crowd laugh. I never thought you would be gone so soon. I love you Isaiah.
