Uncle it´s been 10 years that you have left us it´s seems like yesterday. I have such wonderful memories of you and I like talking about them to my auntie because it makes her laugh. Sure do miss you

I remember back in the 80s at VC, him coming to class after running a marathon the day before. You could tell he was hurting but he still did a great job teaching. He was a good teacher. Vince Stehly. I just looked him up and found out he passed, I wanted to talk to him about politics now that I'm an old adult.Sad it can't happen.

Uncle you where one of a kind you are missed so much by auntie and the boys me too. I’m asking for you to keep your hands upon my auntie to make her strong as the years go by with out you. Much love your daughter- Neice Rebecca

I learned a lot from your classes you were an inspiration to us all in your classes back in Ventura College looking back it was your love of teaching that inspired me to follow a higher education and pursue my goals! Muchismas gracias Profe you will be missed and the world wont be the same without you!

Professor De La Rocha, It is with great sorrow to have you leave us. I am thankful to have briefly known you in your history class You our an Awesome teacher, and wonderful person. God bless you ,and your family. You our in a much better place, and will have no more pain. RIP Professor Mayo.

I am forever grateful and thankful to have worked for you when I was a young student. You showed me so much and taught me how to be proud of my race and culture and always do my best in anything I loved to do. You were my first boss and the best one. I remember working for you long hours and you would come to the office with a burrito from Evitas. You had so much heart and can not believe you are gone. You taught me alot Mr. De La Rocha. Now you can rest peacefully in heaven with Diann Smith. I will miss you. You will always be remembered and never forgotten. You left an impact in our chicano community. RIP Mayo.
