A resident and native of Clinton, he died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Sterling Place, Baton Rouge. He was 72. Visiting at Beech Grove Baptist Church, La. 961, Clinton, on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. O.L. Bradford. Interment in the George Family Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Vicie C. George, Clinton; two sons, Kenneth and Craig A. "Tony" George, both of Chicago; two sisters, Celeste Butler, Baton Rouge, and Ruby and husband Joseph Lewis, Atlanta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis and Charlene George, Clinton, and Grover and Joann George, Chicago; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Grover George Sr.; son, Issac George Jr.; and two sisters, Francis Robins and Dorothy Lewis. Arrangements by Fraternal Funeral Home, Clinton.
