Used to see him at Rays bar in Polk City. I grew up watching a great defenseman and enforcer. It's 2024 and I was going through the memories of my childhood watching the Oak Leads. God bless!!!

I came across this obituary and I'm very sorry for the loss of Mr. Prediger. I enjoyed many of his games as a fan of the Flint Generals. Whenever Des Moines came to the IMA Sports Arena I knew it would be a great game with him in the lineup. You know he was good because the Flint fans didn't like him! In fact, he played in the first professional game I ever saw, Des Moines vs. Port Huron Flags, in Port Huron!

While living in Toledo, Ohio, we were ardent supporters of the Toledo Blades. We fondly remember the many battles with the Des Moines Oak Leafs. Ivan was a fierce competitor and a talented defenceman who always gave 100 % effort. Condolences to Ivan's family. a

I was saddened to read in the paper of Ivan's passing. I remember what a great player he was in his time here in Fort Wayne. When he went to Des Moines I think all Komet fans still had a soft spot in their heart for him.

Ivan was a superstar in the eyes of my boys and was a wonderful father-in-law to me. He always greeted me with a hug and said love you' without fail when he said goodbye. I didn't know him in his rough and tumble hockey playing days, I only knew the man who showed great love for his family and made friends with everyone he met along the way. We miss your sparkling blue eyes Ivan. Love Lorna

Dear Judy & family,
We are so deeply saddened by Ivan's sudden passing. He was a great guy & friend! We so enjoyed having you & your Prediger family stay here at the time of the Monarchs reunion several years ago. Ivan enjoyed that special time so much, rehashing old times with all of his sports buddies. Our thoughts & prayers are with you, Peter, Pam & your grandchildren at this very sad time. Hugs

My deepest sympathy to Judy, Peter, Pam and family of Ivan. I knew Ivan in Des Moines, Iowa where we played hockey together for the Oakleafs. Ivan was one of the toughest players I knew. Des Moines still talks about Ivan The Terrible. He could play a rough game with a broken noseyet was one of the nicest, friendliest and going to church on Sunday type of guy.
