A SERVICE at All Saints' Church, Clipstone, preceded burial at Edwinstowe's Forest Cemetery of Mrs Jean Booth (80), of North Crescent, Clipstone.Born and educated at Clipstone, she was a life-long resident of the area apart from a period of three years spent in Australia from 1966 to 1969.She was a shop assistant until her retirement in the late 1980's and her interests included musical theatre and films. A badminton player in her youth, she enjoyed watching tennis, dressmaking and reading historical novels.Mrs Booth, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves her husband, Mr Kenneth F. Booth, daughters Glynis and Karen, son Stephen, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Mourners were Mr K. F. Booth, Mrs G. A. Scrimshire, Ms K. Booth, Mr S. and N. Booth, Mr L. and C. Burbanks, Mr A. and R. Sharpe; Mr B. and M. Booth (representing family); Mr J. and S. Booth (representing family), Ms D. Sharpe, Mr P. Sharpe; Ms V. Sharpe (representing Mr J. and Mr M. Sharpe); Ms D. Sharpe (reprsenting Ms C. Sharpe), Ms J. Amos, Mr D. Booth, Mrs H. Taylor, Mr J. and L. Booth, Mr J. Booth, Mr R. and B. Smith, Miss J. Eyre, Mr M. Alls, Mrs L. Betteridge, Mr and Mrs K. North, Mrs J.Sims, Mrs D. Wilkinson, Mr and Mrs Topliss.The service was conducted by Canon A. N. Evans, and arrangements were by W. S. Ingham & Sons.
