An amazing master and person will be missed deeply by all. Mr. Olford was a pillar in the community. May God wrap his arms around the family during this time of need.

JD and I were friends to the end from when we were little boys. I miss him and I know the Family really does. May God Bless the Family and may JD rest in peace.

Even when time has passed and contact is far and in-between, there are some people who remain the same; such can be said of J. D. Olford Jr. I was a 1973 graduate of Lufkin High and a member at West End C.O.G.I.C. and played with Annie and "Lady". My mom, Ms. Dorothy Henderson and my aunt Jewell were close friends to J.D.'s mother Ms. Hazel. J.D. was a highly favored, loved, and liked person. He taught and knew my husband James Scott many years back when James worked at Lufkin Foundry and my two "heart adopted" grandchildren study under his company: Ashlyn and Cason Grogan. Annie I lost my "Honey" in 2011 and this year we would have celebrated 41 years of marriage, you know I love you and my heart is heavy but prayerful for you. The Lord is able to hold you up and hold you tightly as you go through this time.

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel at hearing of J.D.'s death. However I take joy in knowing he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that in the days, weeks, months and years to come, it will bring you peace. Knowing him since elementary school, it was joyful to hear of all he had accomplished, not just professionally, but personally. Annie you may have been married for 40 years, but he loved you far longer than that. You guys have a wonderful love story.

Thank you Master Olford for your instruction,wisdom, and TLC to my daughter Abram Ruth Ann Harville. Abram grew in confidence in herself as she gained her 2nd degree Black Belt in 2010. At the tender age of 5, you called her "Hollywood" when she shyly walked into the studio in her dark sunglasses.She now walks with her head high and looks others directly in the eye as you taught all of the youth under your wing. Your family is in our prayers.

Master Olford is one of the most honorable and respectable men I have ever met. ATA, our community, and his friends and family will miss him greatly. My prayers are with his family.

He will be greatly missed by Maleia and christopher Williams he was a kind and loving man, he is with god now in no pain and suffering he is looking down watching over his family and friends he is an angel in heaven god bless him !
