Pat Devine was a lawyer and a man of great integrity, intelligence, perception and loyalty. I had and have nothing but the great respect and affection for him. He was a loyal friend and lawyer to my late father and did me and my brother a great service in a very difficult and stressful situation when our legacy was threatened by unprincipled behavior. I must add he a a great sense of humour. My respects and condolences to all his relatives and friends.

Dear Marg, Patti and Mike: it is with a heavy heart that we learned of Pat's passing. Although he is in a better place, we will always remember his sense of humour, wit, generosity and genuine warmness towards everyone he met. Mrs. Devine, Michael and Patti
On behalf of the Prystawsky family, I wish to extend our sympathy on Mr. Devine’s passing. My late father, Ted, always spoke very highly of Pat and the family. He was a dear friend.

Dear Marg,
Miriam and I read about 'The Duke's" death on Saturday. Even though he was a lawyer, he could play a mean game of bridge. St. Patrick's College has lost a charter member who was well-liked and admired.

Both Wayne and myself, and all our family, wish to extend our deepest sympathies to you, at this difficult time. Pat was great fun to be around, with his witty humour and wonderful stories. Personally, I never hear the name Ireland that Pat doesn't immediately come to mind. The stories he told of his trip many years back, painted a wonderful vista for our eager minds. So sorry to hear about ‘Uncle’ Pat – for that’s how I will remember him.
His advice was always given with a sense of humour, and while as a young person I might not have always followed it, I did appreciate the spirit in which it was given, as well as his kindness and generosity.
