He is survived by his sister Marie (Tom Boyle) of Sydney, B.C, and his sisters-in-law Linda Hammond and Teresa Feehan. He was predeceased by his brothers, Father Leo in 1971, Ned in 1986 and Father Grattan in 2006. Bernard was born February 11, 1929 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. He attended St. Peter's College in Muenster Saskatchewan and graduated from St. Thomas More College University of Saskatchewan with a B.A. in 1951 and from the University of Saskatchewan with a L.L.B. in 1953. He had a passionate love of the law and brought to the court a strong sense of justice, a practical approach, and sensitivity to all people. He was elected for three terms to the Edmonton Catholic School Board and was Chairperson from October 1966 to October 1968. He wrote regularly on social issues for the "Edmontonian" and was a popular speaker. Many community agencies benefited from his participation including the United Way, City of Edmonton Parks and Recreation, the Edmonton Day Center, the Edmonton West Rotary Club and many church groups. Nonsuch, a Commanding Officer of the Navy League Cadets and finally as a member of the Retired Naval Officers Association. His family has been a vital and much loved part of his life and he was involved in their activities and very proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Kay - It seems like only yesterday that we all enjoyed the Wardroom functions at HMCS Nonsuch. He was an exceptionally fine Naval Officer. When he succeeded me as CO of the Navy League Cadets the corps blossomed. He was a good friend.

Lola joins me in saying how sorry we are to hear about his passing and wish to express our condolences to you and the family.

We were neighbours and friends of the Feehan family growing up. I'll always remember the fun I'd have with Maggie at their house where there was always so much laughter and joy. Mrs. and Justice Feehan were always so patient with us when Maggie and I would be running about the house (making messes). I remember sitting at that great big kitchen table with the Feehans and listening to all the adventures of the day they'd share together. What a great family. Justice Feehan was such a kind and compassionate man, and he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr.Justice Feehan admitted me to the Alberta Bar in 1983.

On January 21, 2008, we both enjoyed
a good shot of Johnny Walker's Scotch at his
bedside at the General.

We both agreed that that was a mighty fine scotch to be had on that day.

I've known Justice Feehan both professionally and as a contemporary of my father-in-law Fred Conroy (who knew him as Bono). He was always kind and gratious as a judge and was especially patient with young lawyers.

He will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family.

I first met Bernie in 1968 at his home with Kay. We had many visits after that, and all of them full of laughter and joy. We discussed every topic under the sun and tried to solve the world's problems.
A dram or two of Scotch seemed to help our spirits.
What a joy to visit with Bernie and Kay over all these years... and what hospitality.
I am so grateful for Bernie's support and interest in my life and work. He was one fine man. We shall miss him dearly! thank you Bernie for being such a gift to so many of us.
To my precious friend of all these years, Kay, i offer you my continued support and love.
To all the family, i share your loss and know how much you cared and respected your Dad.
