J.G. London

J.G. London, of Longview, Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Rosewood Mausoleum Chapel, with the Rev. Ben Clayton and the Rev. Ken Moore officiating. Special music will be provided by his granddaughter, Dee Moore. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Mr. London was born June 22, 1914, in Fannin County, Texas. He was a football coach before coming to Longview High School as a longtime educator of chemistry and physics. Mr. London was a building contractor, rancher and Realtor. He loved to work outdoors, especially on his farm, hunting and fishing. During World War II, Mr. London served his country by working in Oakridge, Tennessee, as a chemist on the development of a part which aided in the development of the atomic bomb. His wife of 67 years, Nadine Buie London; one grandson, Kevin L. Moore; 10 brothers; and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. London is survived by loving children, Jack G. London and wife, Peggy, Vicki Ann Moore and husband, Ken, and Kay Richardson and husband, Glenn; grandsons and their wives, Kris Moore, Stacey Kirkindoll, Keith Bonds, Britt Bonds and Scott Bonds; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dad's special friend, Amy Harper, for her friendship and love shown to Dad and our family.
