J Howard Greer

We've been so blessed to count you all as our friends. As a young man who had surrendered to preach in 1978 and was struggling in his freshman year of college at CBC with Joel, he was such an encouragement to me to not give up ... stay the course ... allow God to guide my future, not my emotions. I will forever be grateful to Joel for taking me home for a couple of days and the way you all embraced me as one of your own family. It was a very important and influential time in my life and, very probably, the difference in me not giving up on God's calling in my life. Thank you Mrs. Greer and Joel ... for the standard of faith and God's grace that you continue to model in your lives.

We thank God for the lifetime of ministry that J Howard and you, his family, has provided for our Lord Jesus Christ. May His loving grace be more than sufficient for you in the times of loneliness ahead.
