Mr John Douglas Robson, of Newark, has died at Newark Hospital, Newark, aged 53.
Born at Chesterfield and a resident of this area for 22 years, he worked as a teacher in design and technology for 13 years.
Mr Robson enjoyed computing, music, reading, building, sailing model boats and crosswords.
He leaves a widow, Karen, three daughters, Cassandra, Bethany and Laurisa, and a sister, Margaret.
A service at St Mary and St Lawrence Church, Bolsover, today (Thursday) at 2pm will be followed by burial in Oxcroft Lane Cemetery.
