I MET SENATOR STOUT AT THE FUNERAL HOME OF HIS BROTHER PHILLIP. HE SPOKE GLOWING WORDS ABOUT HIS BROTHER AND FAMILY. HE WORKED TIRELESSLY WITH SENATOR ED ZEMPRELLI TO HELP BUILD THE MON VALLEY EXPRESSWAY AND OTHER AREA ROADWAYS TO HELP PEOPLE RECOVER FROM THE LOSS OF OUR STEEL MILL JOBS. WE WILL NEVER FORGET HIS CONTRIBUTION. YOU HAVE MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY.

My deepest sympathies to the family of former State Sen. Barry Stout. He was a fine representative who cared about the needs of the people of Washington County. He was always available to help anyone who needed his assistance. He came to pay his respects to my mother ,who was a Democratic committeewoman, when she passed away in 1992 at the funeral home. He had a good heart and we could use more public officials like him who cared about the people first.
